Typically, the bad taste in your mouth after a tooth extraction is just blood. In order to get rid of the taste, gargle with some salt water and spit. Repeat the process until the taste disappears.

Quite often it is blood. It can also be the sign of an infection starting - are you rinsing your mouth several times a day with salty water, for example? If the infection takes hold the taste will become one of terrible (rotten/vile) taste and make it very difficult to eat food as it will all taste terrible.
