I am allergic to this. I get a swollen lip and my cold sore gets much worse. Although I haven't been tested, I have surmized that I must be allergic to Phenol. Chlorasepctic throat spray also leaves blisters on my tongue. The active ingredient there is also phenol. I check labels now and steer clear of anything with Phenol in it, and I tell doctors, etc. that I am allergic to it when asked about any Allergies. Phenol is present in many paints, some cosmetics and can be used in some chemical peels.
No, nut allergies and mushroom allergies are un-related. Nut allergies are closely related to tree nuts, however. Mushrooms are in the fungi family, so experiencing an allergy to mushrooms would be more closely related to molds/seasonal fungi. You should consult with your primary care physician or allergist and possibly get tested.
