I have furniture on order with VCF that I have paid for and will pick up this Saturday. I called the store (Dayton Mall, Dayton, OH) and they specifically told me that Value City Department Stores filed for bankruptcy and liquidation, but that Value City Furniture is not included in the bankruptcy. I am nervous about. I have tried to independently confirm this, but have been unable to. If anyone has more info, please share.
There is no information available to confirm whether or not Value City stores are closing in North Carolina. As of August, 2014, there are three Value City stores in Charlotte, NC.
I am an employee at value city and our store will be closing on December 19th

Not all closed. I know of 3, 1 in Gurnee, Melrose Park, and Chicago on Damen. Go to Valuecity.com and search for them.
To find a Value City clothing store, one can look at one's local Hypermarket. There should be a Value City clothing store outlet there. One can also look at the directory.
Circuit City closes their stores on Sunday
