I've only seen the brand at thrift stores. I didn't know about them at all - but found several pieces of clothing I liked were from that brand.

Hillard and Hanson used to be Mervyn's store brand clothing line (Mervyns generic brand). When the department store went out of business in 2008, Hillard and Hanson went with it. That's why you can only find it in used clothing stores now. Too bad, because it was a great low-priced brand.
