Don't let it hibernate. It is dangerous and unhealthy to let a captive turtle go into hibernation. What you need to do is buy a UV heat lamp to put/hang over the tank. The heat lamp will simulate the summer sun, so your turtle will go through the winter without hibernating. You can buy heat lamps and UV bulbs at Petco and other pet stores. You can even buy a timer for the heat lamp, so you don't have to be home to turn it on every morning, and off every night. I have included two links for you: one to the Petco page where you can buy Zoo Med Reptile Basking Spot Lamp Bulbs, and a lamp to put those bulbs in. The other is to a website called X10.com, where you can buy a timer.
Yes, all heat ruins hair. But the best thing to do is buy a heat protection conditioner or something like that from any hair or beauty store. That's what I do.
If used to much or too often, heat can damage your by frying it and making it look ratty. Also heat can create slipt ends. Someone I know has actually lost hair because they straightend their hair almost everyday for almost a year. They had to buy extensions, not because they wanted longer hair, but because they needed these to make it look like they had more than a little hair. Some people don't even realize it, but blow-drying your hair can also be very damaging. Try letting your hair dry naturally ocasionally. You will be pleased. Beware that heat isn't the only way to kill your hair. Dying your hair is also dangerous. Anything harmful to your hair can permanatly ruin your hair and make it harder or impossible to grow any back. BE CAREFUL. I hope this helps:)

If you have split ends, get your hair cut or it won't grow any longer. You can buy treatments and masks specifically for damaged hair, and make sure you protect it before you heat style it. Don't heat style your hair often; ideally not at all.
I have no clue, I suggest you buy another brand.
go to the store buy a lamp, put in you house and there you are!
You're putting so much heat on your hair that it dries out quickly. If you are going to use heat on it daily, use a deep conditioner often, and put a heat protection on it. Try to buy straighteners and curling irons that help protect your hair too.
