What happened to farsight plc?
The Concert Party called in a £750,000 loan which had to be
repaid immediately. This placed Farsight plc into a parlous state
financially, shares were suspended and the according to a report in
the Biggleswade Chronicle the company went into receivership. The
newspaper report reads thus. Concerns have been raised over the
long term future of CCTV coverage for Mid Beds after the operators
went into administration. Farsight Plc which monitors over 30
cameras in Biggleswade, Sandy and Shefford, went into receivership
earlier this month. It came after shareholders called for a
£750,000 loan to the company to be repaid immediately which it
could not afford. But they have taken ownership of a newly formed
company, called Farsight Security Services Ltd, and operators
stress it is business as usual. Farsight Plc based in Peterborough,
took over the monitering in Mid Beds after buying Sandy Security .
