I was issued a resident allien card in NY Feb 1978, I understand card issued during this time had no expiry date on them( it was a blue and white card) I have lost this card and filled for a replacement card two weeks ago in the US. I have since returned to the UK to arrange shipment etc and are planning to return to the US within the next two weeks is this a problem ?
That depends on where the I-90 (the form for a replacement card) is filed. You can see processing times here: https://egov.uscis.gov/cris/jsps/ptimes.jsp. www.martinvisalaw.com

There is not a way to tell how long it will take get a green card to get back to the US. It all depends on the person background.
When you request to have your EBT card replaced it can take 7 to 10 days. When you request to have a replacement, you will be charged for it.

The process to get green card can be through marriage, employment or through relative and should be petitioned for by the US citizen or green card holder spouse, employer or US citizen relative or green card holder in US respectively.
