Yes, you can file for unemployment online in Tennessee. The Tennessee Department of Labor and Workforce Development has an online system called Tennessee's AcessTN.gov, where you can apply for unemployment benefits. You will need to provide information about your employment history and reasons for unemployment.
I WOULD, but not for much longer.
yes, this package does provide for additional unemployment compensation beyond the 13 week Federal extention. (tier 3 and tier 4 were added to federal extension for Tennessee the first week of December 2009. this carries into early months of 2010.) if you are on tier 2 you should automaticaly transition on to tier 3, if you are on tier 3, you should automatically transition on to tier 4. you will receive a letter the week you get your last check from that tier.
With the state of the economy as it is, you probably will.

Yes it does but it may depend on certain conditions. I am eligible for TIER 3 unemployment but maybe because I was in the military. Military personnel receive unemployment benefits differently, from a different "pot" of money. I received notice of eligibility while I am receiving Tier 2 benefits. If you are eligible you will receive it months before you exhaust TIER 2 benefits.
The times for benefits are: Tier I 26 weeks; Tier II 13; Tier III 13; and Tier IV 6 for a total of 58 weeks, potentially. See Related Link below.
No, Iowa does not have the 8.5% unemployment rate needed to qualify for tier 4 Federal EUC. Unfortunate, but true. Best of luck to you.
Contact the Unemployment Office with this question as any other answers would only be speculation.
Yes. Applications available as of today 7/15/09.
if you qualify your unemployment extends into the EUC, emergency unemployment compensation. obama just signed the extension in dec 2010 that extends benefits until dec 2011. if you exhausted your regular benefits you will apply for EUC and begin tier 1 of benefits (20 weeks) then tier 2 (14 weeks) tier 3 (13 weeks) and tier 4 (6 weeks) after that you could qualify for SEB, state extended benefits (20 weeks) if all of the EUC has been exhausted before 12/31/11
