The internal diameter of the pipe times pi times its length will yield the volume it can contain. The outer diameter of the pipe times pi times its length will yield the volume that the pipe will displace when it is submerged or buried. The volume the pipe will displace minus the volume it will contain will yield the volume of material that makes up the pipe.
measure the length of the fitting first. Then insert pipe into fitting and mark a line on pipe. measure that bit of pipe. deduct off the length of fitting and half it to give you your x dimension
The answer depends on the orientation of the pipe and the cut. Even if the cut is vertical, it can be along the axis (length) of the pipe, at right angles to it or at a slant. If the cut is along the axis, the cross section will be two rectangles where the length of the rectangle is the length of the pipe and the width is the thickness of the pipe. If the pipe has negligible thickness, this may be taken to be two parallel lines. If the cut is at right angles to the axis then the cross section will be an annulus which, when the thickness is negligible will become a circle. Finally, if the cut is skew, then you will get ellipses which will collapse to a single ellipse for negligible thickness.
Calculate as you would the surface of a cylinder who's height is the length of the central line of the pipe bend.(2*π*r*h)where:r is the (external) radius of the pipeπ is the constant 3.14159... andh is the length of the cylinder or the center-line of the pipe bend
minus weld gaps and takeoffs from total then multiply for angle.
ERW (Electric Resistance Welding) pipe is manufactured by rolling metal and then welding it longitudinally across its length. Seamless pipe is manufactured by extruding the metal to the desired length; hence ERW pipe has a welded joint in its cross-section, while seamless pipe does not have any joint in its cross-section through-out its length.
Seamless (SMLS) pipe is formed by drawing a solid billet over a piercing rod to create the hollow shell. Seamless pipe withstands pressure better than other types, and is often more easily available than welded pipe.Welded pipe is formed by rolling plate and welding the seam. The weld flash can be removed from the outside or inside surfaces using a scarfing blade. The weld zone can also be heat treated to make the seam less visible.

Seamless pipe
A cold drawn seamless pipe has better dimensional tolerance, a higher surface finish and better mechanical properties than an equivalent hot finish seamless pipe. For applications that can make use of the thinner pipe walls and closer tolerances, a cold drawn seamless pipe is the better option.
Yes as seamless is always better
