How is diffusion important to cell processes such as photosynthesis?

Diffusion is the process by which small particles move from a place of high concentration to a place of lower concentration. By diffusion, small molecules like salts can go inside a cell from the outside. To keep itself alive, a Cell needs to take in many things from its outside. In Photosynthesis, gaseous Carbon Dioxide (CO2) enters the plant cell by diffusion. CO2 is very important in building food and making energy for the plants.

In plant cell where diffusion occurs?

Gas exchange for photosynthesis - CO2 from the air diffuses into the leaf, and 02 diffuses out of the leaf into the air

Diffusion in a plant?

Diffusion is the process by which molecules travel passively down the concentration gradient to create an equilibrium. However, the process of diffusion is not the only form of transport in a plant; nutrients are also extracted from the soil by a process known as active transport. This is not diffusion as the molecules are travelling up the concentration gradient and henceforth need energy, as the molecules are travelling from a low to a high concentration. Diffusion envolopes over the process of osmosis which is diffusion srictly with water alone. In plants, osmosis allows water to be transported around the body. In leaves (and green parts of the plant), diffusion is key to photosynthesis, as CO2 must enter the plant and reach the chlorophyll. The CO2 enters through stomata (small pores) and diffuses through the leaves to the chlorophyll. Then oxygen (a byproduct of photosynthesis), leaves the plant by the same process, diffusing through the plant and exitig through the stomata. Hope this helps, i studied this a while ago.

How a mosquito detects that a human body is there in room or that place please reply this as early as possible?

Exhalation of CO2 in Human.Mosquitoes detect the co2 level in a room they will atract and bite the humans in night time also.

Greenhouse growers often add carbon dioxide to the air in the greenhouse What is the advantage of doing this?

All plants need carbon dioxide to complete photosynthesis. Mammals take in oxygen and breath out CO2. It is the exact opposite for plants. The stomata on the plants act as lungs for the CO2 to enter the plant. The plant then puts out oxygen into the air. Since plants need CO2 and they are putting out oxygen, extra CO2 in the air will hope the plant grow.

List three examples of diffusion which occur in living organisms?

Respiration takes place in body tissues and the lungs be the process of diffusion where CO2 and oxygen are exchanged.Read more: What_is_an_example_of_diffusion_in_living_organisms

Example of diffusion inside the human body?

The lungs utilize diffusion to transfer oxygen into the blood stream and take the CO2 out. Another example is the oxygen gradient set up in the ATP transfer cycle.

What other substance is needed for the respiration to take place?

Co2

How are oxygen and carbon dioxide exchanged between alveoli and capillaries?

external respiration. or a difference in surrounding pressures of the fulids

How do substances like co2 and move in and out of the cell?

By the process of diffusion and osmosis.

How do the structures of alveoli and capillaries support the function of gas exchange?

Exchange of gases in alveoli takes place through diffusion. This diffusion takes place to partial pressure differences among the gases O2 and CO2. The partial pressure of O2in alveolar sac = 103 mm Hg The partial pressure of O2 in blood = 50mm Hg The partial pressure of CO2 in alveolar sac = 28 mm Hg The partial pressure of CO2 in blood = 45 mm Hg As a result, the O2 from alveolar sacs diffuses into blood. the CO2 diffuses from blood into lungs.

How would the movement of CO2 be affected if the concentration of CO2 in the lungs was equal or higher than the concentration in the blood?

If the concentration of CO2 in the lungs was higher or equal the concentration in the blood, there will be no diffusion of CO2 in the air of the lungs. The person will suffocate in this situation.

How does Co2 move in and out of the cell?

Out of what cell? well, if it's out of plants, CO2 from air diffuse in to cellular spaces in the mesophyll layer. CO2 from respiration move out of the leaf also by diffusion:)

Do plants give out oxygen?

I think when they receive carbon dioxide

When does photosynthesis's take place?

when a plant has a sufficient amount of light,co2,chlorophyll,water and heat photosynthesis takes place.
