Throughout the Universe, plasma is the most common form of matter, making up over 99% of the visible Universe. The Sun and all the stars are plasma, as is the interplanetary medium (space between the planets), the interstellar medium (space between the stars), and intergalactic medium (space between the galaxies).

On Earth, plasma is found in the aurora, the ionosphere, in fire, and lightning, and at the Earth's core.

In the Universe plasma is present in 99.9% and only 0.01 in the Earth. In the Universe there are galaxies, Nebulas, Sun, stars, etc. It is easily available in the Universe as the sun and other things can provide enough heat to generate or create plasma. On Earth we don't have that kind of heat to generate plasma.

Why is plasma the state of matter that is found in stars but is not common on earth?

Plasma is a very high energy state of matter that is usually only found at high temperatures. Stars are extremely hot, which easily allows the development of plasma. Earth is much cooler, which makes it difficult for plasma to form. Plasma can still be found in lightning bolts and fire.

What state of matter is uncommon on Earth but is found in stars?

Plasma is a state of matter that is uncommon on Earth but is found in stars. Plasma is a superheated state where atoms are stripped of their electrons, resulting in a mixture of positively charged ions and free electrons. In stars, the high temperatures and pressures create conditions where plasma is the dominant state of matter.

Where is plasma the fourth state of matter found?

Plasma is found in environments with extremely high temperatures, such as the sun and other stars. It can also be created on Earth in applications like fluorescent lights, plasma TVs, and certain types of industrial processes.

Matter found in stars?

Plasma.

What is the state of mater found in stars?

the state of matter found in stars is plasma.

A very high energy PHASE of matter not found normally on Earth is called?

A very high energy PHASE of matter not found normally on Earth is called plasma. Plasma is the most abundant form of matter in the Universe because of stars.

State of matter found in stars?

Plasma

What state of matter is rare on earth?

Plasma is a rare state of matter on Earth. It is not commonly found in nature but can be observed in phenomena such as lightning and stars. Plasma is a state of matter in which atoms are stripped of their electrons, resulting in a highly electrically conductive gas.

What is needed for plasma to exist and where can it be found?

the sun is a major one, like all stars, it contains lots and lots of plasma. but the only naturally occurring plasma on Earth is lightning. it is used in fluorescent lights as well, but this is not naturally occurring plasma.

Were can you find plasma?

Plasma can be found in the stars, solar air, in the sun and also in fusion.

What state of matter is well known but uncommon on earth?

Plasma is a state of matter that is well-known but uncommon on Earth. It is commonly found in stars, lightning bolts, and certain experimental setups like fusion reactors. Plasma is the most abundant state of matter in the universe.

Where could you find plasma naturally on Earth?

plasma makes up 99% of the visible and observable matter in the universe. plasma is a state of matter like solids and liqiuds and gases. this one is the fourth. it is also found in plasma tvs, stars and extremely hot places.
