Scientists use Dalton's atomic theory even though parts of it have been proven wrong as the basis of other discoveries. His theory about atomic elements being the same was wrong but has been used for a long time even to the discovery of isotopes.

scientist use Dalton atomic theory because even though it has mistakes, its the closest theory that has been found it. than the scientist have been doing modification to his theory they have been adapting it.

It was an important step towards the understanding of atoms. By the late 1800's, Dalton's theory explained much of what scientists saw. New information does not fit some of Dalton's ideas, but the atomic theory was changed to describe the atom more accurately.

Most of John Dalton's original theory is in use today. The major differences are that we now know that atoms are divisible, and that atoms of the same element can differ in the number of neutrons. A theory may be modified without throwing the whole thing out and that is what has been done with Dalton's atomic theory.

· Elements are made of tiny particles called atoms. · The atoms of a given element are different from those of any other element. · Atoms of one element can combine with atoms of other elements to form compounds. · Atoms cannot be created, divided into smaller particles, nor destroyed in the chemical process. A chemical reaction simply changes the way atoms are grouped together.

How did Nagaoka contribute to the atomic theory?

He contriubuted to modern science with his model for atomic theory which he described was similar to the rings of saturn and he descibed that in his model of atomic theory. Hantaro Nagaoka was a great man and and he contributed alot of tings to modern science i cant name them all but he contributed alot of things to modern science

Who is credited with the development of the the atomic theory?

John Dalton first pursued research into atomic theory. He was the first person to propose the existence of the atomic structure.

Science and theory in the early 20th century?.

Who developed the first scientific atomic theory?

john dalton developed the atomic theory , which he published in 1803

The atomic theory every physical substance is made up of atoms is just a theory and so it is probably not true?

In science the word 'truth' is used very sparingly to reflect the experimental nature of science. Scientists do not rush to brand something 'true' even if it can describe and predict a natural phenomenon excellently, such as the case of the atomic theory. Before more evidence is gathered and a better theory proposed, the currently theory is accepted as the relative 'truth' in the field and respected as such. Scientific theories of the day are paradigms of human understanding of the world. Being 'just a theory' does not preclude it from becoming the eventual truth when human knowledge of the universe is complete.

How did Dalton's Atomic Theory effect culture and living conditions?

Daltons atomic theory changed the way people looked at everything in science,Dalton proved that matter is not able to be broken down past a specific point, (the atom) and that all matter is made up of atoms and now medicine and science have been able to be better, building materials stronger, ect, ect

Why was daltons model accepted?

Dalton's atomic theory or model was accepted despite errors. This is because his theory provided a logical explanation of concepts and led the way to new experimentations.

What was Dalton's major contribution to science?

Atomic Theory

How can an stm help improve daltons theory?

An STM (scanning tunneling microscope) can help improve Dalton's atomic theory by providing visual evidence of individual atoms and their arrangements on surfaces. This experimental data can offer insights into the precise structure and behavior of atoms, supporting or refining Dalton's ideas based on empirical observation. Additionally, STM allows for the direct observation of atomic interactions and bonding, which can lead to a deeper understanding of atomic behavior beyond what Dalton's theory originally proposed.

Was the science affected by the Hiroshima bombing?

Did daltons atomic theory include the idea that all atoms of all elements are the same size?

No, Dalton's atomic theory did not include the idea that all atoms of all elements are the same size. Instead, he proposed that atoms of different elements have different sizes and weights.

Did the ancient Greeks do scientific experiments on Democritus's atomic theory?

The ancient Greeks did not perform any experiments to test the atomic theory proposed by Democritus. To the ancient Greeks the atomic theory was a part of philosophy, not science.
