Bolus is the form which is taken by food which is being chewed. When you chew food in your mouth, saliva is excreted releasing amylase to break down the watch in the food. Your mouth (teeth, tongue etc) works in a certain way so that the food you are about to digest is formed into a ball shape called Bolus. It is turned into this shape so that it can move through the oesophagus more easily. Bolus will also be covered in digestive juices as it travels down the pipe however it breaks down once it reaches the small intestine.
On my computer it shows that someone put this answer in reponse to the question: "Pretty sure it's the Cardiac Region, but I'm not 100% sure....."The bolus of food does indeed move from the esophagus and passes through the cardiac sphincter, which allows passage into the stomach. However there are three portions of the stomach: the upper portion called the fundus, the body of the stomach and the part nearest the small intestine called the pylorus. Hence, the area of the stomach the bolus of food first enters into is the fundus.
The internal process which makes food absorbableAnswer this question…
The storage areas of a cell are called vacuoles. They are typically enclosed by a membrane and store food, excess water, or waste.
An organism that makes its own food by photosynthesis is an autotroph.
Food is transformed into a small lump called a bolus through the process of chewing and mixing it with saliva in the mouth. The mechanical and chemical breakdown of food in the mouth helps form the bolus, which is then swallowed and passes through the esophagus into the stomach where further digestion occurs.

The teeth are what makes bolus as they mash it up to form small lumps of food. the bolus is also soften by the muccin and made in a spherical shape by the help of tongue and palate this is when the bolus is completed
Food in the mouth is called bolus Once the food is passed it is called (becomes) chime
A ball-like masticated lump of food is called a bolus. It is formed in the mouth during the process of chewing and mixing food with saliva before swallowing. The bolus helps in the smooth passage of food through the esophagus and into the stomach for further digestion.

The medical term for it is "chyme" (KIME).
Peristalsis starts in the back of the tongue and moves food down the esophagus to the stomach. The food is later squeezed into the small intestines where peristalsis moves the food 'bolus' (BOW-luss) down the small intestines to the large intestine, or colon. Peristalsis in the colon moves the bolus into the rectum, which makes you feel like you have to go to the bathroom. Peristalsis in the colon and rectum force the bolus down and out and into the toilet.
Your teeth ad the salivary glands work together to produce a bolus. The teeth chew the food and the salivary glands distributes saliva so it can cover the food and turn it into a 'bolus' of food. This is done so it is easier for the 'Bolus' to roll down the oesophagus.
