The distance between two crests of water is the "wavelength."
Wavelength
Is a one complete wave length(wave lenght)
That would be the wavelength.
wavelength
In a wave, the distance from crest to crest is commonly called a wavelength.
wavelength
The distance between two corresponding crests on any type of wave is called a wavelength.
That is what is considered the wavelength. Same thing with the troughs.
wavelength
The frequency of the wavelenght, or the Hertz, is the distance between two crests.

ans2. wavelength is sufficient.
The frequency (Hertz) will depend on the speed of the signal in that medium. Just ignore "Hertz" in the first sentence.
wavelength. Which affects frequency.
In sound it determines pitch. In visible light it determines color.
In waves, the distance is the period. The frequency of the wave is equal to the inverse of the period.
Wavelength.

distance between two adjacent crests is called as WAVELENGTH.......
Distance between two crests is the wavelength of a wave.
wavelength (distance between two crests or troughs) !
Wavelength.

The distance between two consecutive crests or troughs of a transverse wave is called the wavelength.
The distance between consecutive crests or troughs on a wave is called as wavelength.

The distance from one wave to the next is called a wavelength. It can be measured from one crest to the next, or from one trough to the next. Trying to measure any other way is difficult, at least for water waves. Technically, the wavelength can actually be measured from any point on the wave to the same place on the next wave.

The distance here could be the vertical distance between the crest and the trough. The distance between either a crest or a trough and the midpoint of the wave is the amplitude (or peak amplitude), and the vertical distance between the crest and trough is the peak to peak amplitude. The horizontal distance between two crests or two troughs is the wavelength of the wave, so the horizontal crest to trough distance is half a wavelength.

Which term describes the distance between any two crests?

The term for the distance between two crests of a wave is wavelength.

How would a wavelength be if the distance between the wave's crests increased?

If the distance between the wave's crests increases, the wavelength of the wave would also increase. Wavelength is the distance between two successive crests (or troughs) of a wave, so if this distance increases, the wavelength becomes longer.

What is the term for the distance between two crests of a water wave is the?

The term for the distance between two crests of a water wave is called the wavelength.

What is the difference between two crests of a wave?

The difference between two crests of a wave is the wavelength, which is the distance between two successive crests. It represents the distance the wave travels during one complete cycle.

What happens to the distance between the crests when the amplitude is increased?

When the amplitude of a wave is increased, the distance between the crests of the wave remains the same. The amplitude affects the height of the wave, not the spacing between the crests.

What is the horizontal distance between crests of waves?

The wavelength is the distance between two consecutive corresponding points on a wave.Distance between two crests is the wavelength of a wave.

When the term for the distance between two crests of water wave is the?

The term for the distance between two crests of a water wave is called the wavelength. It is measured as the distance from one peak of the wave to the next peak.

What is the distance between crests of a wave?

The wave length.

What is the wavelength of wave if the distance between two consecutive crests is L?

The wavelength of a wave is equal to the distance between two consecutive crests. So, the wavelength of a wave with a distance between two consecutive crests of L would be L.
