opaque is anything that is not see-through or translucent. if light can not pass through opaque objects so it forms a shadow. Examples of opaque objects are:

*human beings and animal

*trees

*cardboard and anything which is solid and with a solid colour

transparent objects allow light to pass through them and one can see objects at the other end. the light passes through without being disturbed examples:

*water

*clear plastic and glass

translucent objects can let light pass through them but it gets disturbed on the way through so that one can not see clearly through them examples are:

*frosted glass

*tissue paper

*tinted glass
