Amino acids are needed to build and repair muscles and tissues. The body cannot make them so they have to be provided through nutrition. Meat, dairy, eggs, poultry and seafood provide all of them. Nuts, lentils and tofu also provide all of the amino acids.

It depends on the missing amino acid but since they are called essential, life processes will eventually come to a halt. Kwashiorkor is an example of one these.

The body begins to break down muscle tissue to replace missing essential amino acids.Whatever proteins that are composed of that amino acid will not be made.

What is the difference between amino acid and amino acid residue?

An amino acid is a building block of proteins and contains an amine group, a carboxyl group, and a side chain. An amino acid residue is what remains of an amino acid after it has been incorporated into a protein, with the amine and carboxyl groups forming peptide bonds with other amino acids. Essentially, an amino acid residue is an amino acid within a protein structure.

Is ribose with the oxygen missing component of an amino acid?

Ribose and amino acid is not related. Ribose is the pentose found in RNA, which is a nucleic acid. Amino acid, on the other hand, is the basic building block of proteins.

If someone was missing an amiono acid how would transcription and translation be affected?

If someone is missing an amino acid, it means the codon for that amino acid cannot be translated into a functional protein during translation. This could lead to a faulty or incomplete protein being produced, affecting cell function and potentially leading to genetic disorders or diseases. Transcription itself may not be directly affected, as the missing amino acid is a consequence of translation.

What happens to the new amino acid chain when translation ends?

What are the three product that result when flavoproteins reduce oxygen?

The flavoprotein amino acid oxidases (AAOs) catalyze an essentially irreversible oxidative deamination of an amino acid. Molecular oxygen is the oxidant and the products are ammonia, the oxoacid, and H2O2
