Sustainability is a concept that captures our ability to keep something going, any sort of societal practice or practice that a business, industry, or community does.
In a general sense, renewable resources are sustainable, because they can be regenerated, but it is not sustainable to use them faster than they are able to regenerate. Using non-renewable resources, like fossil fuels, is also not sustainable.
A practice can also be unsustainable if it generates pollution or other problems that will eventually require it to be stopped. Sustainability is not just about environmental issues and supply and demand, but it also encompasses social issues--something can be unsustainable if it causes human suffering or problems for society.
Life
A source of Fuel Compression and an Ignition source
As biological processes are not thermodynamically reversible, life on Earth is not actually sustainable. Eventually entropy will get the better of us and life as we know it will not be able to exist. For example, the Earth is due to "run out" of Carbon dioxide in about 500 million years (meaning that there won't be enough carbon dioxide for photosynthesis to take place).
The heat death of the universe is a suggested fate of the universe, its final thermodynamic state in which it has diminished to a state of no thermodynamic free energy to sustain motion or life.
Lack of water means you can't grow crops, you would be able to sustain very little industry, disease would be a constant problem due to lack of hygene, and you would be in peril of dying of thirst.
We Sustain
Unable to sustain its own life
Sustain is the amount of time a drum rings or vibrates so that you can hear it. For example, a timpani drum has long sustain but a snare drum has a short one.
The ability to sustain within ones self .
effective nor ineffective
It's the length of a note after it is played such as when someone strums a chord on the guitar the sustain is how long that chord can be heard without strumming again
Depending on what you mean. To Sustain soming is to give with it . Example: I sustained a broken ankle! If your talking about life on its own, if you going thru difficult times, and your still going thru it not giving up. You have sustained life.
'azote' which is 'the part of air which cannot sustain life'
In English, the Latin phrase translates into "We sustain the effort."

you eat food to sustain your body not because you like the taste or are satisfied by the flavors
If you mean the planet, there is no oxygen or enough heat to sustain life.
