Our Sun is the source of all the energy which we have had, are having and will have. Plants could not thrive without it. There would be no ocean currents, no winds, no rain cycle. Sunlight acting on our skin helps to create vitamin D in our bodies. Coal, natural gas and oil came from plants which lived millions of years ago. A more modern use is solar power, where light can be converted to electricity.
