Ten safety precautions to obey are: wear safety goggles, keep your hair tied back, do not dispose chemicals down the drain, when not using turn gas off, wash hands after using any chemicals, wipe up spills, have fire extinguisher nearby, turn Bunsen burner on orange safety flame, do not have any bags near burners and do not put a pipette in your mouth.
