The formation of dew is a physical change. Dew forms when air containing moisture cools and the moisture condenses out on the leaves. Water has changed state from a gas (or vapor) in air to a liquid, and this does not represent a chemical change any more than boiling water to change it from a liquid to a gas does. A change of state represents a physical change.
A chemical change is a change in which a substance turns into a completely different substance that can't be reversed. A chemical change often happens when a substance burns (not to be confused with evaporation or melting of a substance), changes colors, a substance spoils or rusts, photosynthesis or respiration, and/or a substance tarnishes. Some examples are a bike rusting, burning bread to make toast, fireworks exploding, milk spoiling, a leaf changing color, mixing eggs and flour for a batter, baking a cake, etc.A chemical change will NOT dissolve, go through a state of matter (sublimation, decomposition, melting, freezing, evaporation, and condensation), breaking or tearing of a substance, and/or anything that can be reversed back.A chemical change is one in which one or more new substances are formed. Simple examples include burning and rusting.
Violet, blue, and red are the colors your eye responds to most when looking at a green leaf.
because the leaf is non polar or Because the leaf is coated in lipid molecules
Starch is produced by leaves during Photosynthesis, therefore if the leaf has not been exposed to light then it will not contain starch, and so when tested the Iodine will stay Yellow/Brown. Consequently if the leaf has been left in the light Photosynthesis will have taken place and when tested the Iodine will go Blue/Black showing that Starch is present. Hope this helps :)
Yes, the leaf is considered a plant organ.
Making salt by mixing sodium and chlorine is it a physical or chemical which one
Chemical
It is a chemical change, a degradation of the compounds from the leaf.
The change is leaf color is a chemical change.
chemical
The decay of organic matter such as leaves is a chemical change.
Crushing a leaf is a physical change, not a chemical change because the chemical composition of the leaf remains the same before and after crushing. However, if the crushing process causes the leaf to release certain chemicals due to breaking of cell walls, then it can result in a chemical change.
Chemical. It has to do with the closing of the part that connects the leaf to the tree and the lack of nutrients causes the leaf to turn colours.
Photosynthesis makes a leaf green so when it turns brown it has stopped doing photosynthesis so most likely it is chemical change. Helpful enough? :|
Drying wood in a shed does not result in a chemical change because the process involves the removal of water through evaporation, which is a physical change. The structure and composition of the wood remain the same.
chemical
This process is a physical change because the gold is only being physically transformed into a thinner form without altering its chemical composition.
