When dinosaurs die their bodies decay and leave bones. The bones become buried over time under layers of sediment. When enough heat and pressure are generated, the sediments undergo metamorphism. The bones are crushed and turned into a liquid due to the extreme heat. This liquid is boiled and finally turned into natural gas, which is located sometimes miles underground. Hope that helps

The oil (petrol , diesel etc)which is generally used, are obtained from the microscopic organisms only. It is estimated that many many years ago, when there was a huge catastrophic change, all the living forms mostly the smaller especially the microscopic organisms were buried deep inside the layers of the earth.

The fossils thus formed gets buried down. After millions of years when the oil is discovered at these sites, then along side these micro-organismic fossils are also discovered.
