Mixtures and Solutions are the same because they both use each other to do what they do. Solutions use Mixtures because you have to mix things together that are solutions to get solutions. Although mixtures don't need solutions to do anything solutions are very helpful.

A solution is a homogenous mixture of two sustances where in the molecules of solute get dispersed (dissolved) in the solvent. A mixture may contain the solid particles of two or more substances intermingled arbitrarly.

Solutions have a solute, which cannot be removed from the created solution. Mixtures are just a blend of substances that can be separated. For example: Lemonade, is a solution once the water dissolves the powder. Salt water would be an example of a mixture as you can put the salt in the water and it will not dissolve any time soon. A solution differs from a mixture in that it is dissolved (as a solute) within a liquid and cannot be easily separated again. A mixture can be easily separated out from a liquid by using filtration or allowing the suspension to settle out over time to form sediment at the bottom of a container, with different substances/chemicals forming different layers.
