OJ Simpson was a running back for the Buffalo Bills, and later the San Francisco 49ers. He holds several NFL records, and was quite popular. After his professional football career, he pursued acting, appearing in several movies.
Simpson became infamous (or notorious) in 1994 when his ex-wife, Nicole Simpson, and her friend Ron Goldman were murdered. Simpson went on trial for the murders, where he was found not guilty. However, he was found liable in a wrongful death suit brought by the familys of the victims.
OJ Simpson's career never recovered, as the popular opinion is that he did in fact kill Nicole Simpson and Ronald Goldman. Since then, OJ Simpson has had a string of legal troubles. He is currently serving a prison term in Nevada for robbery, kidnapping, coercion, and conspiracy.
After years of marginal behavior, Simpson's deeds finally caught up with him throughout the 1990's and beyond. After years of domestic abuse that was well documented by local police, Simpson's ex-wife Nichole Brown Simpson was found murdered, as was her friend Ron Goldman. From the slow-speed chase in the white Bronco to the sensational criminal trial and aquittal, the civil trial and conviction, followed by domestic abuse of his daughter and several girlfriends and ending (maybe) with his arrest and later his conviction of armed robbery and kidnapping in Las Vegas, NV, Simpson just can't seem to stay out of trouble. Some may call it karma, but the fact is, Simpson has finally reaped what for most of his life he has been sowing. Instead of a Nevada prison for robbery/kidnapping, he should have joined Scott Peterson, another wife-killer, on California's death row at San Quentin Prison, just north of the Golden Gate Bridge.
