Everyone has a different opinion. I like him because I think he's cute and I think he's a good actor. It's perfectly fine to not like him.
It may seem that way, but during his career, he has played some roles other than "bad guys." But you raise an important issue for actors; many worry that they are being "type-cast." That is, sometimes the studios assume a certain actor is best able to play a certain type of character and they keep scheduling him to play that type of character (in this case, a bad guy) in every movie.
Actors and actresses fight against this, reading for different roles and trying to prove they can play a variety of genres and a variety of characters. While some actors and actresses do in fact enjoy being identified with a certain type (a villain, a sex symbol, a hero, etc) other actors want to be seen as more versatile. It will be interesting to see what kinds of roles Tom Felton gets in the future.
