What type of Pokemon are necessary for beating the elite four in Pokemon LeafGreen?
Types are a good factor at considering what pokemon to train because having the right type equals easier wins for you. The first elite four member has ice and water types so you want an electric pokemon like Raichu and a rock pokemon like Golem. The second elite four member has fighting types so a psychic type like Mr Mime or flying type pokemon like Pidgeot will work perfectly. The third elite four member has ghost and poison types you can continue to use the psychic pokemon for this fight. The last member has dragon types so an ice type like Dewgong would work for this fight. After the last member the champion which is your rival will challenge you and he has a mixture of pokemon so use the right types at the right time basically. He always starts with the pokemon Pidgeot which is a flying pokemon make sure you setup your electric pokemon from earlier to take care of it and just continue this pattern until you win. So the types you want to bring are: Electric, Rock, Psychic, Flying, Ice, Fire. And simply switch them when needed in order to win.
