Chaucer's most famous love poem is Your eyen two wol slee me sodenly.

In that poem he has the line : Sin I fro Love escaped am so fat, which tells us both that he was once in love, and that he is not in love anymore. (And also that he is glad not to be in love anymore).

Chaucer seems to have had a long and uneventful marriage to Philippa Roet. If a marriage is uneventful, that is a sure sign of love.
