The first three films are not given a specific year or time period, but the fourth film is given the year of 1750. All of the movies contain historical inaccuracies that make it hard to place what years they were set in - such as costume style variations from different centuries. However, with the third film being dated at 1750, the first three films are given a "floating thirty year period" of 1720 - 1750.
Caribbean is spelt Caribbean NOT carribean. It takes place in the 1700s.

It is set in the late 1600's, as the costumes are 17th and 18th century, although there are a few custom clothes in there.
