In Pokemon Soulsilver and Hreartgold there are 16 gyms. After you defeat the first eight you must battle the Elite four and Champion Lance, Afterwards you are sent will watch a set of credits, but the game does continue, you are sent to the Kanto region which has a new set of gyms. After those eight gyms you will battle the Elite four and Lance again. (They will be stronger than the first time) last you battle trainer Red.
When you arrive in Kanto there will be no order of which you have to do to beat the gyms so you ban call any of them the ninth gym.
In pokemon soul silver you must first 1.head east of cerulean city.
2.use surf when your at the water and surf down until you see a building
3.its the power plant go.enter it then go up the stairs and talk to the manager. Hes gonna say some some stuff.
4.head back but on your way down the stairs the police officer will move and say the stolen part was seen in cerulean
5.head back to cerulean and try to enter the gym
6.the thug will run into you as you enter. He'll say he hid it in the gym then leave
7.he hid it by the umbrella/beachballs on the west side of the pool closest to where the gym leader would stand.
8. Walk up to the hiding place and press a to get it.
9. Then go to the nugget bridge and the thug will be there,see you,then hide in the couple on the nugget bridge. Talk to him and youll battle him.
10. Go back to powerplant and give them the stolen part
11. Now go to where bills house is(past nugget bridge) go up the stairs by his house and the gym leader should be there with her boyfriend.
I think I got 6/7/8/9 mixed up. I think you battle him on the bridge first then he'll tell you where he hid it.
