- surf off the left of the bridge
- Keep going across the stream until you reach the Fuego Ironworks
- Go into the Ironworks building and walk around until you encounter Magmar.

Magmar is not found in the wild; you must evolve a Magby (found in Stark Mountain and Route 227 when LG is inserted in the GBA slot).
