Gyrados does not evolve into Lapras. Gyrados evolves from Magikarp and can mega evolve into Mega Gyarados using the Gyaradosite. Lapras does not evolve into or from any other Pokémon.

red gyrados is actually a 'shiny' gyrados, meaing it's just a weird thing that the Pokemon games have were every couple 10,000 Pokemon or so. so in order to obtain a red gyrados you would have to go through quite a lot of finding a shiny gryados or shiny magikarp(if you evolve taht it should stay shiny)
Yes, you can evolve a magikarp from the resort area but there is a problem, the magikarp stats will be very low and once it evolves into gyrados the stats will be very low, even lower then the gyrados's in sinnoh lakes. Usually you will find the first time a level 69 or 59 magikarp. But eventually at level 80 your gyrados will have a boost of 8+ in attack and 5+ in Hp.

Yes, but the Magikarp must hold the Everstone until it is level 69, then take it away and level it to level 70, then it will evolve into gyrados.
