Mickey mouse is a character in Walter Disney's imagination. He first created "Mickey Mouse" as "Steam Boat Willy" which was a popular cartoon in the mid 1900's. Walter Disney later constructed a theme park, Walter Disney Land, and Mickey Mousse became the star character for Disney Land since it was Walter Disney's first major character. Mickey Mouse is of course a mouse, and still is the star of Walter Disney's imagination. That is a quick summary of the creation of the Mickey Mouse that we all love and praise. In 1873, British army officer Walter Clopton Wingfield created and patented a game for the purpose of entertainment at a friend's garden party in Llanelidan, Wales. The game was known as 'sticky' and it was marketed incredibly well. From 'sticky,' the modern game of tennis developed.
Real Tennis evolved rather than was invented. It began as a ball game played in the twelfth century and continued to evolve for the next several centuries. It has been suggested the game was first played by monks in cloisters, but there is no evidence of this. The first well known historical figure to play the game, however, was Henry V.
