Unfortunately Disney did not buy Marvel but there's some content that is strictly forbidden from Disney that has been in Marvel comics before.
Disney is in the process of purchasing Marvel.
Disney bought Pixar for a number of reasons. Mainly, the old contract signed by the two companies had expired, and Pixar was looking for more creative freedom. This created a lot of tensions between the two companies. At the same time, Disney was looking for a fresh start from their old C.E.O Micheal Eisner, and wanted to adapt the "Pixar" spirit at the company. Mr. Eisner was removed from the board, and Pixar was bought by the company. In doing so, John Lasseter (Pixar's creative leader), became the chief creative officer of both companies. Dispite the ownership of Pixar, they have agreed that Pixar can remove itself from the Walt Disney company at anytime (with the penalty of a large sum of money) and Disney cannot influence or work on Pixar's projects. In addition, Pixar now funds there own movies, and does not require funding from Disney.
As of what I know now is that the famous George Lucas franchise sold Star Wars in the Disney hands to continue the Trilogy. No one knows when a Preview of the release yet.

The American Broadcasting Company (ABC) was founded in 1943. It helped finance Disneyland in 1953, which allowed the network first bidding rights to the Disney show "Disneyland." Thus, although the two companies were separate, there was close cooperation between the two. In 1996, the Walt Disney Company bought ABC outright, and continues to own it to this day.
