Artemis is the goddess of the Moon and the Hunt. She is the daughter of Zeus and Leto and twin of Apollo.
Artemis was granted six wishes from her father, them being:
Artemis can appear to look however she likes, but she usually looks to be a beautiful 12 year old with auburn hair.
Even though Artemis has no children, she still has a cabin in Camp Half-Blood, Number 8.
As the goddess of the hunt, Artemis possesses hunting abilities like speed, precision and the ability to disguise herself along with many other powers. She can also transform things into things associated with hunting.
Artemis deeply cares for her Hunters, and despises men. Her relationship with her brother Apollo is very complicated due to his constant flirting with her Hunters.
Artemis is only seen once in the film The Lightning Thief due to her not being a major character in the movie.
Luke is a major part of the plot of the entire series while Ares only plays a minor part in The Lightning Thief and a part about as big in every other book in the series. If you look closely Ares was in the movie, just he didn't have an obvious role; he was at Olympus and could be seen if you looked very closely when Percy returned the bolt to Zeus. PLus Luke actually was The Lightning Thief in PJO: The Lightning Thief but Ares took it from Luke while Luke was on his way to Kronos (or Cronus, your choice.) The book states that gods were not allowed to steal from each other, and with Zeus being who he was, would you? The book also says that the gods often got heroes to do this kind of thing for them. That's why Luke stole the lightning bolt and not Ares, and why Percy had to get it back instead of Zeus or Poseidon.
Luke will be played by Jake Abel. See the related link below for more.
Ray Winstone played the role of Ares .
Artemis fowl 1, before the Arctic incident, was tough on his son and Artemis fowl 2's role model. Artemis fowl 2 came from a family of geniuses and had a good education, though his father's formality rubbed off on him. before book two, Artemis fowl jr. is basically "a chip off the old fowl block".
The penguin Feathers McGraw played in the archetypical role of jewel-thief .
He didn't have that big of a role in the Lightning Thief. We do, however find out that he is the father of Thalia, a feisty girl who was turned into a tree at Camp Half-Blood.
Yes, Percy's mother, Sally Jackson, does not die in "The Lightning Thief." She plays a significant role throughout the book and the series.
The antagonist in the book Percy Jackson and the Lightning Thief is Luke Castellan. He is a demigod and a son of Hermes who betrays Percy Jackson and plays a significant role in the plot.
In "The Lightning Thief" by Rick Riordan, the main gods and goddesses featured are Zeus, Poseidon, Hades, Athena, Apollo, Artemis, Ares, Aphrodite, Hephaestus, Hermes, and Dionysus. Each of them plays a role in the story as part of the Greek pantheon.

Judging from how close the lightning thief movie is to the book, probably not. EDIT: Despite the movie adaptation of "Percy Jackson and the Olympians: The Lightning Thief" proved to not be true to the book, it seems that they are giving "The Red Pyramid" a try. Right now they are casting the acting roles. As far as known, the casting directors' top choice for the role of Carter is Chris Sawyer, and Hailey Grace is in their highest priority for the role of Sadie.

In "The Lightning Thief," Percy's father, Poseidon, is not inherently evil. He is a god of the sea with complex motives and actions that may not always align with human perspectives. Poseidon plays a significant role in Percy's life and journey throughout the series.
Athena plays Anibeth's Mother but you don't see her only at the end for about 1 minuet
