I was on the writing staff crew for Transformers: revenge of the fallen.
Expect a director's cut that will be equivalent to a Rated R movie. The original shooting script had much use of strong foul language which in turn would initiate the movie in turn to be rated R.
However, in the film business time and time again it's been proven that movies rated PG13 make WAY more revenue than movies that are rated R.
Many fans of the movie were under the age of 8, which virtually no parent would allow their kids of that age to see an R rated movie.
When the film is launched in theaters, it will be cut and resubmitted to the MPAA until it is rated PG13. Expect an unrated director's cut to be launched when the movie comes to DVD around Thanksgiving.
Actually, the movie has a lot of sexual comments and dialogue along with a short(but cut off) sex scene about to happen. Do not worry, there is no nudity or full-blown sexual scenes. Each sex scene is cut off.... However there are scenes of Canine humping and sex. I do not recommend bringing anybody under the age of 11 to this movie, or they may pick up slang or sexual behavior.
Plus, they use words such as "Pussy, sex, bitch, ass, etc."
It is rated PG-13 for a few reasons. # There is quite a bit of violence between the robots. Lots of blowing things up and pulling things apart. # Secondly, there is quite a bit of language. No "f" words are said, but they are hinted at as well as some other not so nice curse words and blasphemous words too. # Thirdly, there is a lot of stuff that is not meant for anyone under 13 years of age. There is a party scene, lots of reference to sexual topics, and much more. Also, there is a naked rear end scene. It is a really good movie, but it most certainly needs the PG-13 label.
Its transformers. If you're a parent let your no life kid see the darn movie. If your a kid im sure your parents will let you see transformers.
