I prefer Soul Silver cuz Lugia kicks butt and i think most people don't want a flying demented chicken in their Pokemon party... just sayin'. but it really matters what you think because it all depends weather you train the Pokemon in the game so they meet your expectations.

I find they are very much alike, but i prefer heart gold. It is a tad harder then soul silver. I would strongly reccomend both games though.
