Oh, dude, those beads on Annabeth's necklace in "Percy Jackson" represent each year she's spent at Camp Half-Blood. It's like a charm bracelet, but for demigods. So, each bead is a little trophy for surviving another year of monster attacks and prophecies. Like, wear that bling with pride, Annabeth!

The beads represent how long shes been at Camp Half-Blood

She has seven beads in the first book. The main one is the one with Thalia's pine tree on it. She also has one with a centaur in a prom dress and a Greek trireme on fire, but when she is trying to say what the other beads are she is interrupted by Percy, who asks if the gold ring on her necklace is her father's college ring, and it is.
