Charles Willard Hull, 72, a resident of New Richmond, Ohio, died Sunday. Charles was born in Durham, son of the late Claude T. and Helen Puckett Hull. He graduated of Northern High School, Class of 1958. Prior to retirement, Charles was an electrical engineer with International Paper.
A Funeral Service will be conducted Friday at 2:00 p.m. at Clements Funeral Chapel in Durham by Pastor Dale Brooks. Burial will follow in Maplewood Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Clements Funeral Home Thursday from 6:00 pm to 8:00 pm.
Surviving is his wife, Jean Woods Hull; two daughters, Teressa Walters and Husband Ron of Durham and Susan Pierce and husband Vince of Franklinton; and three grandchildren, Amanda, Casey and Emily; and two great-grandchildren, Ashlyn and Colton; and two brothers, Bill and Sam Hull.
Charles R. Drew was voted "Most Popular'' and ''Student Who Has Done The Most For The School" in high school. he was also the captain of the football team and college track team.

She did not make or build the house. She did acquire it and have it adapted to settlement-house welfare needs. the House was up before she bought into it, so to speak. The settlement house, the Hull House, purpose was to combat the slums by helping immigrants integrate into American society. Through the Hull House, immigrants were provided with social and educational opportunities in the surrounding neighborhood. Volunteers at the Hull House also held classes in literature, history, domestic activities, art, and other subjects. They offered lectures on current issues and held concerts free for everyone.
