She was an ex-officio officer of the Luftwaffe with strong SS connections. In her regular works she test-piloted various types of craft for the Air Force, including the guided model of the Fi-l03, various German jets and so on. She was one of Hitler's intimates and in his entourage, as were numerous cryptographers and secretarial officials. Whether this makes her (bad) is not for mortal man to judge. As far as is known she was never married, nor did she have any children out of wedlock. Draw your own conclusions. It can be argued she contributed more to development of aircraft than her long-lost American counterpart, but Miss Reitsch was not involved in long-range demonstration or exploratory flights.

It comes from the German, as do some Spanish words. It is a woman"s name and can be translated as Anne or Grace ( the biblical Hannah means Grace) Hanna Reitsch, the German Aviatrix, can be ( translated) as Grace Imperiale with little trouble.
Hanna Reitsch was a most remarkable pilot: first woman airline captain, first woman to fly a helicopter, first woman to fly a rocket aircraft, first woman to fly a jet and one of the best glider pilots who still set glider record flights at the age of 75.

Adolf"s Lady Friend Hanna Reitsch can almost literally be translated into Italian based- Grace Imperiale, or Grazia Imperiale. By the way ( So Help Me Hanna! is a popular German meta-curse word- with Adolf it had another meaning- yes, Fraulein, set up the code machine. Hanna had access to Crypto machines, his other Female secretary, Trudy ( both of whom survived the war) did not.
