Helen Teutul was born in 1918 and is the step mother of Paul Teutul Sr, his birth mother having passed away some 30 years ago. Paul himself has said that he loves her dearly and he thinks of her as his 'real' mother.
Whilst mention of her on both the show and the internet is scarce, there is nothing to suggest she is not still alive and kicking. There is a video online of her being serenaded as a birthday treat in 2009 although I can find nothing else relating to her (death or otherwise) that is more recent.
I assume that as she is such a popular 'character' on American Chopper there would be some mention or tribute to her were she to pass away.
