The reson why the fallen wanted optimus dead was because only the prime can kill the fallen and he is on a very dangoures mission finding the matrisks of leadership to destroy the sun and harvest enegy. And remember, only prime and destroy the fallen. In the 3rd movie, optimus had his right arm cut off by zata prime(but kown as senetal prime) but zata died because megatron came in and left him on the floor while trying to fight optimus. But both falled to kill optimus prime. vs

As far as I know, only Jetfire and Arcee die in the movie. Optimus Prime died but Sam brought him back with the Matrix Key.
