How the setting contributes meaning of Hunters In The Snow?

Hunting for some is a way to relieve stress and most men go and do this when they are worked up and want to get away. Each character gives off a persona in the story that shows they each have something bugging them. I believe that Wolff's choice of using a hunting theme leaves him with the room to use the guns to spice up the story. In the beginning I think that Wolff is trying to give off a beautiful scenery and the hunting part is more of a factor. On the other hand though Wolff might be trying throw off the reader by giving this beautiful cold day. Each character has its own problem and it comes out through the frustration of not finding anything to hunt. I don't think its the cold weather that is making them upset because they are probably used to this cold enviroment

The cold, hostile environment in the story relate to its meaning by easing the dim atmosphere. Climate is used all through the work to stress the unfriendliness among persons who are overseas toward some idea of unselfishness. Hunting in this kind of weather is also means painful and unforgiving, plus hostile. While the weather was unforgiving, so were the guys in their relationships with each another. The snowfall also highlighted the men's faults, as flaws are easily seen in snow. Additionally, the surroundings in the region of the men showed to be aggressive, and the men were unfriendly to each other as well. They shaped different commitments and grouping at different times all the way through the story.
