He started out singing with the sons of the pioners and Thomas Dorsays band I figure John Ford and thr Duke John Wayne.
He was an African-American professional jazz musician popular in the 1920s. He played piano, composed many songs and had his own band that became very, very well-known. I'm pretty sure it was called The Duke Ellington Orchestra or something similar to that.

- the name 'The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus' came from a bunch of random words on a wall, and blindfolding one of the band members to go and pick random words. - The band was unofficially started by Ronnie Winters and Duke Kitchens in 2001. The two had played together doing Blink-182 cover songs. - in 2004 the band released an untitled demo with three songs. -band member Jon Wilks says the three things he couldn't live without are; water, his G-4 Powerbook, and the bible. -Ronnie Winters had it tough growing up around drugs and alcohol at the age as young as 11- here is a site leading to a video about it ; http://www.halfofus.com/video/?videoID=59
John Hartman is currently the touring drummer, they have no official drummer yet.
...he was the vocalist of the band...his name is Ronnie winter.. ..he's so cute...
In short, no. They are still "together" for now, and touring. More descriptively though, as of 2011 three of the members left, being replaced by three new people, leaving only two members of the original Red Jumpsuit Apparatus in the band. They said that the three members left on good terms in order to "focus on their personal life" or "make a living" but I think they're slowly falling apart. Honestly I give Red Jumpsuit Apparatus about five more years and one more album before they finally OFFICIALLY break up. Like they can't be the same band if a majority has already left.
So today I was talking with joey westwood of the red jumpsuit apparatus and he told me that elias wasn't in the band anymore because all of the members of RJA are located in jacksonville Florida and elias moved out to LA to live with his girlfiend. And it became to hard to keep up with practices and such as. He left to pursue a solo career.. BIG SHOCKER....................NOT.....
Your Guardian Angel is the song that most probably resembles My Guardian Angel. It is song performed by the band The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus from October 2007.
