In the game, various Duelists will notice a card that you own and that they want. After you defeat them (this occurs at random after you have registered them as a Duelist), they may ask that you give them the card in exchange for one of theirs. If you accept, the trade will proceed.
You can also trade with other people that own the same game or own Yu-Gi-Oh! GX: Spirit Caller. To trade, choose the computer in your room. Then choose the "Wireless Connection" option. When you have both reached the same screen, you can choose to "Trade Cards".
