If you are referring to the DS console, well the answer is no. There are actually a couple of games that are not a Sonic Rush derivative. For example, Sonic and Sega All Star Racing and Sonic Classic Collection. There are a couple more though.
sonic Both are popular, however prior to the (re)release of sonic 4 and sonic colours, I would say that star wars was the more popular franchise. Star Wars is a movie franchise while Sonic is a video game franchise, so Star Wars is probably slightly more popular.

No weapons: Sonic speeds around Luigi at 600 mph and smashes into him with spin dash, effectively cutting Luigi in half. Sonic wins. Weapons: Luigi uses a star to go invincible, Sonic uses the Chaos Emeralds to go super. Tie. Luigi because he is more determined. Determination always wins. Sonic takes his fighting as a job, not a "career".

Well, Star wars is a much bigger industry than sonic, but nowadays they focus on the Clone Wars, which is about Anakin and not Luke. Plus, Sonic got his own float at the 2011 Macy's Thanksgiving parade, so I guess Sonic is more popular.
