To get the Mystery Gift in Pokemon Platinum, follow these steps:
# Go to the Jubilife TV Station in Jubilife City # Go to the 3rd floor. # Talk to the man in the lower room (the guy on the left). # The first two words you tell him are "everyone" and "happy" # The second two words you tell him are "Wi-Fi" and "Connection." # Finally, you will be able to access Mystery Gift in the Main Menu. At Jubilife TV, there is a man that will ask for your opinion on tv. For the first 2 words, say EVERYONE and HAPPY. For the last 2 words, say WIFI and CONNECTION.

Get From Wi-Fi
Get from Wi-Fi is exactly what it says on the tin. Using the DS's Wi-Fi internet abilities, the game connects to the Internet servers and looks for any Wonder Cards that Nintendo has put up.
Get From InfraRed
The next feature is a feature that will be used at some events, possibly replacing Slot2 distribution. Here, you can receive a Wonder Card through the InfraRed feature on the game card. This requires direct line of sight from the distribution machine.
