Chris Colfer is a special kind of singer. Here's why:
Here is the breakdown in voice parts, from lowest to highest:
Bass, Tenor, Alto, Soprano.
Each voice type can be broken down into even more voice types, which most singers don't learn about until they reach high school or even collegiate levels.
Basses can be basso broffundo, bass, baritone-bass, baritone-tenor. Tenors can be baritone-tenor, tenor, counter-tenor. Altos can be contralto, alto, mezzo. Sopranos, then, can be mezzo, second soprano, soprano, lyric, dramatic, spinto, coloratura... And more. I feel sure that I'm missing a couple...maybe. Every person is a different voice, no matter what you may try to do to fix it.
Chris is either an extremely high tenor, or a counter-tenor - basically, a man who can sing like a woman. Only he can sound like that, because that is his voice. You have your own voice, and if you try to produce the same exact sound as Chris without training, you will ruin your vocal chords, maybe even to the point that you have to talk through a machine. Simple mimicking is the worst way to sing, ever. Don't do it. That's the fastest way to destroy your voice box.
The best advice that I can offer is to find a vocal coach. Not just any coach. Find a teacher that knows how to explain the safe way to sing, is willing to help you work your vocal range to its maximum - without hurting you - and perform your own style. If you end up being a bass, falsetto is the only way that you will be able to reach Chris' notes. If you are a tenor, then proper vocal exercise and training may help you get there, but that's a big MAY.
No, they are not dating. In Fox's hit TV show, Glee, Darren Criss plays an openly gay high school student and is dating Kurt, played by Chris Colfer. Their characters are dating but Chris and Darren are not actually dating.
http://www.idolranges.com/season5/This site claims his lowest not on Idol was an E2 (middle C is C4) and his highest was a C#5 (one half-step above the the high male C5). It also tells you in which songs these notes were sung. In my opinion, Chris is an awesome singer, but these two extremes of his range do not come out very well. The E2 is very breathy and the C#5 is an all out shout/scream. So again in my opinion, his everyday usable range is probably more like an F#2 to probably a B just below C5. This dude is awesome!
he played cricket when he was in high school
No, hense its voice when it isn't in sky form. How many boys to you see that have a high-pitched voice?

Maybe because that's how his voice is pitched. Kind of a dumb question....

alto is a low girl voice, suprano is a high girl voice. tenor is a high boy voice, bass is a low boy voice.
high pitched voice is when your voice goes high and the noise is like kind of squashed kind of noise and not really loud
