Anyways what you do is get your item and hold it on a ditto and go to four island and breed ditto with the other pokemon. you can literally breed any pokemon (that has already evolvrd) for example jynx which you can get by trading your pokemon with and old guy in the town with the secind gym. or hitmonchan or hitmonlee hey even your starter. you can breed in fire red and leaf green.once you've put them in the day care center on island four you have to be very patient because it does take queite a long time. after 2500 steps (i think) you go back to island four and you shold see the man one step forwards from the fence and says you have an egg. take the egg and walk (or run or cycle) 2500 steps and it will hatch to a level 5 pokemon and i think it holds the item u gave the ditto. and by the way it does become 0.8 times faster to get an egg.
