You can get them at the guard team you joined. Or, you can get all of them in the Kim 's place ( i forgot the name. ) . But, there are some items that suitable for all. Like TOY PLANE. At a dungeon, press SQUARE on a room that has the digimon you want. Choose the items and a heart will appear. The bigger the heart, the greater chance you have to get that Digimon.

For starters, make sure you have ROOM in your party (or if you have the digimon transfer upgrade on your Digi-Beetle then in the server at least because you won't be able to capture the digimon if your party and server is full)
Next you will have to buy the correct toys for your Digimon, and buying things require money so make sure you have enough for them.
There are 3 different types of Digimon so there are 3 different types of toys to buy. And there are also different levels of toys to buy. A is the best E is the worst .
Vaccine (From A to E ) DVD Player,
Virus (From A to E) Snowboard,
And Data (From A to E) Laptop PC,
BUT there are also toys that work for ALL TYPES of Digimon but they can get real expensive and you don't find them till later in the game.
Make sure you know the Digimon that you want to capture's type or else it won't work.
NOW you should be ready to capture the actual DIGIMON.
Choose the Domain in which the Digimon that you want to capture lives at. Search the Domain till you find that Digimon. You have a stronger chance of capturing it if its far away from you. Once you think your at a far range from it press the Square button and then press the X button. Scroll for the toy that you want to use and press X. If you keep giving toys to the Digimon the heart on the top of its head will get better. The heart will get bigger 3 times, when its at that state it should be able to be captured. The better toys you use, the quicker it will be to get the big heart on its head.
Now once you done that START THE BATTLE! The digimon that you want to capture ATTACK LAST DO NOT ATTACK IT FIRST OR ELSE YOU'LL CAPTURE THE WRONG DIGIMON!!
And if it worked after the battle, the screen will show the digimon you just captured and it will say that its wants to join click YES then you can decide if you want to name it.
Repeat this process if you want to capture more digimon.
Oh...and one more thing, the stronger the digimon, the more difficult it is to capture.
In order to acquire Digimon in "Digimon World Dawn" is by getting enough scans of that particular Digimon. Each time you encounter a Digimon, excluding a boss you get a percentage of a scan. This can range from 1% to 15% depending on the Stage the Digimon is in.
In Digimon World DS, as part of a battle against a wild Digimon, your scan of it needs to reach 100% otherwise you cannot catch it. Once it's been caught, you can convert it and either add it to your party or place it into your farm once you have opened up your farm.
every time you encouter a digimon, you scan some of its data. once you have 100% you can digigenernate it in your lab. the more data you have of it the stronger it is. happy digimon scaning!
