HARRAHS in Cherokee, NC but it's terrible. All slots and no table games save for a small portion of video blackjack tables. Oh yeah, and if that doesn;t sound boring enough, NO ALCOHOL!
Uh not so much, actually alcohol is permitted throughout the whole casino... now as far as the slots v/s tables, I don't know. But you can check out their site for yourself harrahscherokee.com. I know it's 3 hours from ATL though!
It depends on where you are in Georgia. Tunica, Mississippi is just south of Memphis, there are several casinos with table games there. There is also a Harrah's casino in Cherokee, NC, near the Tennessee border. Blackjack is the the only actual table game there, but they also have video 3 Card Poker and Let It Ride tables that are just like a regular table game except you play with credits instead of chips and the dealer is on a video screen. There used to be a gambling cruise ship somewhere on the coast of SC, I don't know whether or not it's still there. There are also a bunch of casinos in Florida.
This is for Atlanta, GA ,not Atlanta TX
The closest is in Cherokee North Carolina, but it's not a real casino (with table games like Blackjack with a live dealer, Craps, etc.). It's all electronic slots, blackjack, etc.
The drive to NC though is mostly through small towns and windy roads, so it will take you longer to get there than you would expect. Also I've heard they don't serve alcohol there, so that might be a buzz kill.
Second closest is in Tunica MS, where they have a slew of casinos. That's your best bet, or for another couple hours of driving, you can go to Biloxi MS, where they have Beau Rivage casino (my favorite) , and right next door is Hard Rock casino. There are probably more casinos there in Biloxi, but I'm not sure as I haven't seen or been to them.
The Closest Casino is an organization that helps you find casinos located near you depending on your current position, for instance, if you are in Alabama, Birmingham, then your closest casino will be Greyhound Racing.
