Yes, hammerhead sharks can attack humans. According to Shark week (Discovery Channel) in the last year there have been 33 attacks by hammerheads. None of these were fatal. There are 9 different species of hammerhead sharks.
Sometimes, yes. But very rarely. There are fewer than 15 reported cases of unprovoked attacks on humans.
According to my son's shark book, they are very aggressive and attack humans easily.
According to wikipedia:
"Of the nine known species of hammerhead, three can be dangerous to humans: the scalloped, great, and smooth hammerheads."

According to Buzzle.com:
"Are Hammerhead Sharks really as dangerous as they sound?
Well, although sharks have always been associated with being aggressive and dangerous to encounter in the sea, no shark would bite a human for no reason and most Hammerheads are small in size. Such are considered harmless to humans. Well, as long as you don't get into their bad books by provoking them! When caught by fishermen, they are generally released back into the wild."

yes but only 33. there has never in history been a record of a hammerhead shark killing a human
There are many types of hammerhead sharks. (About 7-10 I think..) Usually the Great Hammerhead is the most dangerous type. _____________________________________________________________________
No hammerhead sharks are not very dangerous. There are in fact 9 known species of hammerhead shark, three of which have been known to be "dangerous" to humans. The three species are the great, the scalloped and the smooth hammerhead. However divers frequently free dive in open water with these species and levels of incidents are incredibly low in relative comparison to the high levels of interaction. These sharks generally do not attck unless provoked, in fact there have only been 12 reported cases of an unprovoked Hammerhead shark attacks on humans. Hammerheads will often warn you with threatening postures before attacking.

they eat sand.
The sense that a hammerhead shark uses is their smell.
The mouth of a hammerhead is in the same place as with other shark species, and food is eaten in the same way. It is the eyes on extended facial protrusions that is different. The reason for the shape of the hammerhead shark's head is still not fully known.
The Hammerhead shark is not a mammal.

The hammerhead shark got its name from the shape of its head, called a cephalofoil. There is no such thing as a dumb shark.
No, the mako lacks the trademark cephaloafoil configuration of the hammerhead.
A hammerhead shark eats enough food until they aren't hungry . Scientists have not found officially how much they eat
